Dispute: A Tweed Avenue resident said her boyfriend threw his Xbox at her window after the two of them argued about his drinking habits, Sunday. She said when she told him to leave he hurled the Xbox at her house, and when it broke her window she picked it up and threw it at his truck.

Stands out: A woman who parked her car in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue said someone spray painted an obscenity on it in purple paint, took one of her windshield wipers, smashed the windshield and scratched the hood, Saturday. Police said she told them she "knows the woman responsible due to (having) ongoing issues with her" and said paint was thrown on her vehicle last year as well.

Charged: A city resident ended up in custody after he was found driving a car reported stolen in Hancock County, Saturday. Police said John H. Robinson, 35, 817 Market St., Apt. G, was charged with receiving stolen property. Robinson said the car "belonged to his girlfriend and he was unsure why she would (report) it stolen." He told police he'd bought the car and registered it in her name though he insisted his name was on the title and said he had the key in his pocket. Police seized the key and told him it was the owner who had reported the vehicle stolen.

Denial: Callers reported a woman on the sidewalk at Fifth and Dock streets and thought she'd been assaulted, Friday. Steubenville firefighters transported her to the hospital, where she told the medical staff she fell. Police asked them to have the woman call the station if she changed her mind about talking to them.

Missing: A resident in the 400 block of North Sixth Street said she got a notification that FedEx had delivered two packages but when she went to her front porch they weren't there, Saturday. She valued the items at $150.

Rollover: A Wellsburg woman trapped inside her car after striking a parked car was cited for failure to control, Saturday. Valerie L. Robinson, 56, 2501 Pleasant Ave., Apt. 5, told police she was on her way home from a friend's house and was trying to reposition herself in the driver's seat when she "inadvertently drove up the driver side rear" of the other vehicle, causing her car to tip over onto its side.

Overheated: Employees at a gas station in the 4000 block of Sunset Boulevard told police a bald male entered the store and stuffed a 2.5-gallon jug of antifreeze down his pants, then left without paying, Saturday. They said the man had been in the lot working on his vehicle for an extensive period of time prior to the theft, police noted.

Disturbance: Police were told a man was yelling at motorists in the 500 block of Woodlawn Avenue, Friday. They were unable to locate him.

Car entered: A man in the 1200 block of Maryland Avenue said someone broke into a family member's car, Friday. He said the lock was damaged and the wires near the ignition had been pulled out and the plastic panel broken. Police said the lock had been removed from the driver's side door.

Served: Emily G. Miller, 30, 1405 Oregon Ave., Steubenville, warrant for failure to appear, Friday.
