Help wanted: A woman needed police help retrieving her shoes from a residence in the 1400 block of Oregon Avenue, Tuesday. She said the male homeowner kicked her out. He told officers she had taken his EBT card.
Charged: Malaysia D.K. Crawford, 28, 7252 Market St., Apt. D, theft. Crawford, who was a Kroger employee, allegedly stole $1,500 in store merchandise during the past 60 days
Overstayed: A woman in the 1500 block of Foster Place wanted a male removed from her home, Tuesday. He'd been staying there for three months but the two argued "throughout the conversation" with officers and were advised to separate for the night. An officer helped him get his belongings off the porch and gave him a ride to another residence.
Icky: An Oregon Avenue resident said a neighbor caught an intoxicated juvenile in his car, Tuesday. He said they'd had problems with the kid before. Police said there were items stacked on top of the car that the homeowner and his female companion "did not want to touch."
Reports: Someone reported shots fired in the 1300 block of Ridge Avenue, Wednesday. Police said they eventually located evidence supporting the claim and the incident remains under investigation.
Code issues: Notices of violation were sent to owners/occupants of properties at1340 Arlington Ave., litter and bags of garbage piled on rear porch, high grass/weeds; 1923 Columbia Ave., junk and litter piled on and under rear deck; 465 Lincoln Blvd., litter and trash piled on property, high grass/weeds.

Cited: Myla Dalton, 35, Virginia Ave., Steubenville, failure to yield following a two-car collision Tuesday in the 400 block of Lawson Avenue; Tabitha Shimmel, 25, East Street, Smithfield, driving on a temporary permit Tuesday after striking a utility pole; Ayla Wolfram, 36, 244 N. 10th St., Steubenville, dog at large. Also cited were Brianna S. Holenstein, 25, Downington, Pa., and Bernard M. Camacho, 33, 403 N. Fourth St., Steubenville, both for speeding (school zone), and the owner of a grey Nissan Altima parked blocking a garage, vehicle also towed.

Dogged: A Yorkville woman complained of a dog being allowed to run loose in World War II Memorial Stadium, Tuesday. She said the dog was running at her until the owner grabbed it and maintains animals aren't allowed on the track.
