Wall knocked out: A Market Street resident was injured after a car struck his apartment building, Sunday. Police said they found a white Buick sitting in front of 715 Market St. and "the building's bricks ... pushed and collapsed inside of the apartment." The driver was still in the car and said she was OK, but the man said he was in his apartment "when bricks came crashing down on his ankle." His lower ankle and foot were bleeding and Steubenville EMS transported him to the hospital for treatment. The driver, identified as Bernadette L. Prentice, 65, 721 Market St., said she was pulling into a parking space in front of her building when she struck it, then put her car in reverse and traveled backward across the parking lot and struck the outside wall of the other apartment. Police said the impact caused the outer wall of the man's apartment to collapse inside his apartment, and her vehicle had heavy front and rear-end damage. Police alleged her eyes were bloodshot and glassy and they detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her and said she admitted drinking beer. Police said they cited Prentice for failure to control and operating a vehicle under the influence.
Shots fired: Police responded to a report of between six and eight shots being fired in the 1400 block of Oregon Avenue (rear), Sunday. Upon checking the area, police said they located seven spent 9 mm casings in the alleyway between the 1400 block of Oregon and Wellesley avenues.
Dangerous place: A caller reported a woman in the roadway in the 600 block of Lawson Avenue, Sunday. Police said the woman was still in the street when they arrived, and reported chicken was scattered in a 10-foot radius around her and a book bag was laying a few feet away "as if she was struck by a vehicle." Police said she was intoxicated and had Steubenville EMS transport her to the hospital.
Assault reported: A city resident told police he was assaulted by a man while he was walking on Maryland Avenue, Sunday. He said his assailant "grabbed his shoulder, spun him around and punched him in the nose." He claimed the man told him he "wasn't allowed on Maryland Avenue ... unless he had money." Police said he did have dried blood around his nose and advised him to stay away from the other man.
Marked up: A North Sixth Street resident complained that children had "vandalized her property and had thrown trash everywhere," Sunday. Police said they saw chalk marks on the sidewalk in front of her residence and the trash was on a neighbor's property. The resident did show them a scrape on her step that she thinks happened when one of them was riding a bike.
Funny money: Someone paid for two Dominos orders delivered to a residence in the 1300 block of Oregon Avenue with a counterfeit $100 bill, Sunday. The driver didn't discover until it was too late that the bill said "motion picture use only" and was clearly fake.
Served: Chelsea Lynn Metz, 31, 416 Madison Ave., Steubenville, warrant for falsification, Sunday.
No going back: A city resident said her ex was visiting when they started arguing, Sunday. She said when she tried to call the police he tried to grab the phone, scratching her finger and chest.
Booked: Samantha Murphy, 28, 56 Talbott Drive, Wintersville, possession of drug paraphernalia, Sunday. A caller reported seeing Murphy and a companion nodding off outside the downtown Speedway. Police reported finding a straw with white residue in the door handle, a glass pipe in the passenger door handle and two used hypodermic needles in the glove compartment.
Summoned: Skylar M. Haines, 22, 502 state Route 151, Mingo Junction, criminal trespass, Sunday. Haines was caught at a property in the 100 block of North Fourth Street from which he'd been banned.
Booked: Samantha Welsh, 28, 416 Madison Ave., Steubenville, warrant for failure to appear out of Summit County, Sunday.
Code issues: A notice of violation was sent to the owner/occupant of a property at 1531 Ridge Ave., high grass/weeds.
Cited: Tiffinie Kuglar, 42, 564 Ward Drive, Wintersville, expired/unlawful plates and driving under suspension.

Found: An Orville, Ohio, couple involved in an ATV accident in September was finally reunited with their vehicle, Friday. The pair had been hospitalized and were unable to get the bike out of the woods and said they returned multiple times to figure out how to retrieve it but it was about 1,000 feet down a hill, but it disappeared in mid-March. After they spotted it on Facebook Marketplace it was reported as stolen, and Columbiana County authorities located it in the front yard of a residence there. The homeowner said he got it from someone else several months ago.
Ransacked: Two Ridge Road residents reported someone broke into their parked vehicles overnight, Friday. The male said his pistol was stolen from the glove box of his truck. His girlfriend said a bag containing her internet hotspot box, underwear, two rings and some necklaces was stolen along with her title and registration.
Problem driver: A Bantam Ridge Road resident said someone drove through her yard and ran over a for sale sign in her yard, Friday. She told deputies she thinks it's a person who's mowing the neighbor's lawn and it wouldn't be a problem normally but she's trying to sell the property.
Scam alert: A Dock Street resident said he got a call from someone purporting to be raising funds for local police agencies and they hung up from him when he asked if he could make a donation in person, Friday.
Nabbed: A Dillonvale woman reported the theft of her son's bicycle, Sunday. The child said he'd left it behind their shed in the backyard and after reviewing surveillance footage recognized the juvenile who ran onto their property and snatched it. Deputies located the bike several streets away and spoke with the child who had stolen it, reporting he claimed "he stole the bicycle due to someone stealing his."
Erratic: A Mingo Junction resident reported a woman was at his door asking him to call police, Sunday. Deputies said when they arrived the woman was wandering in the street "and appeared to be under the influence of some sort of narcotic." She claimed her boyfriend drugged her, had been holding her hostage and she'd had to jump out a second-story window to get away and that he wouldn't give her her car keys. The male said when he came home, she was packing things and behaving very erratically started throwing things at him, and deputies reported finding her suitcases on the roof about 15 feet from the window. She admitted "she 'may' have taken some sort of narcotic," they added. She was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
