Bad reaction: A resident in the 400 block of South Fifth Street in the midst of a medical emergency told police she'd used "weed butter," Wednesday. Made from butter and cannabis, weed butter is primarily used to make edible cannabis products though it also may help relieve cancer-related symptoms and improve sleep. According to Healthline, inconsistent concentrations of THC make it easy to overconsume. Police said the woman was convulsing on the guerney and told them she "had no control over her movements." She was able to answer basic questions but continued to thrash around and was taken to Trinity Meical Center West for treatment, police said.

Uneasy truce: A resident in the same block of South Fifth Street said she was arguing with a male and wanted police to tell him to stop yelling at her, Thursday. Police said they spoke with both of them and "resolved the matter for now."

Squabble: A disturbance was reported in the 200 block of Hollywood Boulevard, Wednesday. Police were told the driver of a Jeep was "making threats" to a female. They were able to locate the man at the laundromat and advised him to have no contact with her, so he asked how he could get a protection order.

After hours concerns: A Greenwich Avenue resident said she was uncomfortable with a man at her residence soliciting the sale of children's education books, Wednesday. She said he was at her home around 10 p.m. and said he was selling the books to go to college for free and wanted to come into her home. She said she'd noticed him "selectively" going door-to-door to homes where there were children. She said a friend in LaBelle area had also filed a report two weeks ago because he was soliciting after hours there.

Code issues: Notices of violation were sent to owners/occupants of properties at 3003 Glendwell Road, 2416 Sunset Blvd., 2427 Sunset Blvd., 715 Wilkins St., 1325 West Adams St., 1417 West Adams St., 617 Lawson Ave., 412 Henry Ave., 523 Maxwell Ave. (vacant lot), 529 Maxwell Ave., 541 Union Ave., and 543 Union Ave., all for high grass/weeds.

Newburn told police she was westbound on Adams when a dark-colored SUV moved into the other lane to pass her, causing her to swerve right and crash into the pole. Steubenville EMS treated a hand injury she'd incurred but she refused further treatment. The car and pole were heavily damaged, police said.

Dysfunctional: A quarrelling Tiltonsville husband and wife blamed each other for the unpleasantness, Monday. The husband said his wife had been drinking and became argumentative as the night went on, telling him she wanted the food put away only to get angry after he did and demand he get it out again. He said he works 14-hour days and when he comes home has to take care of the kids. His wife said one of her kids came home from their grandmother's "and wasn't happy with how they ran the house" and wanted to go back but she refused to let him, telling deputies she wanted him to "stay with her and follow their rules." She claimed her husband was being hard on the kid and said that's what started the fight. They were told to separate for the night.

Drinking problem: A Rayland man wanted a woman removed from his house, Tuesday. He told deputies they'd argued because he'd had surgery earlier in the day and instead of coming home and helping take care of their daughter after work, she'd gone drinking. She told deputies she wanted to leave but needed to call for a ride because she'd been drinking and was unhappy when they told her the child was staying with her father because she was "so highly intoxicated" and she could get the child when she was sober. They said after that she got mad because she didn't think she should have to leave, and deputies told her they couldn't force her to go but if she stayed she risked the situation escalating. She then "waived (a deputy) down" and claimed his investigation wasn't fair because he'd "talked to (her husband) longer because he was sober," but he pointed out "she ended the conversation with (him)" and didn't offer any more information when a second deputy tried to talk to her. She continued to argue with deputies but eventually said "she did not have any more to say."

Animal hazard: Deputies said a woman stopped in county Road 39 with her hazards lights on told them she was trying to help a baby raccoon cross the road, Thursday.

Senseless: A resident living on township Road 166, Bloomingdale said her mailbox was knocked off its post, Wednesday.
