Throwing things: A Belleview Boulevard woman said her boyfriend threw cat food at her and threatened to kill her and her son during an argument, Tuesday. She said she wasn’t sure what started the argument because he was intoxicated. Her boyfriend said she “came home and began arguing for no reason.” He claimed she threatened to kill him and that her son had assaulted him.
Problem behavior: Vagrants living on a porch at a church building owned by Urban Mission allegedly “verbally accosted and threatened a woman” upset with them filling another church’s trash cans and leaving a mess, Tuesday. The woman told police several vagrants “have been living on the porch and have clutter, garbage and belongings everywhere” and said she “attempted to speak with (some of them) loitering on the porch” when they threatened her. The woman said she wants to pursue charges and said she’d been in contact with Urban Mission concerning the alleged threats. An Urban Mission spokesman acknowledged they’d been receiving “more and more complaints of their church porch turning into a homeless encampment” and advised police they needed to be removed from the property and told not to return. She said they will be posting no trespassing signs in the near future. Police said when they checked the porch, it was cluttered with personal belongings, trash, sleeping gear, tarps and other items. No one was there but they located a woman who had been staying on the porch and had her remove her belongings and warned her she can’t go back.
Persistent: A Lincoln Avenue resident complained a man was “continually knocking on the door,” Tuesday. He told police she has some of his personal property and is refusing to return it. She denied having anything of his. Police said they advised him “of the proper course of action” through the legal system and he “reluctantly” left the area. Later in the day, the woman called back to report he keeps coming back and demanding she return property she doesn’t have. She said she doesn’t want him to return and police explained to her what she needed to do to get an order of protection. They also located the male down the street, still insisting he had property there. He was advised he could be charged with trespassing if he returns to the property uninvited.
Open book: A Ridge Avenue resident said after friends who had been staying with her left, she discovered her basement window was broken, Tuesday. She said “lighters that were with her drug paraphernalia” were missing.

Aggressive rider: A Maryland Avenue resident said when he asked a juvenile riding a minibike past his home to refrain from riding on the sidewalk, the youth became aggressive, Tuesday. Police were unable to locate the rider.
Wasted call: A woman in the area of Pittsburgh Street and Pennsylvania Avenue reported a disturbance, but when police arrived told them she’d called “but no longer needed assistance,” Tuesday.
Loud and proud: A disturbance was reported in the 1200 block of Wellesley Avenue, but a woman involved said she and her significant other “were just having a disagreement,” Tuesday.
Code issues: Notices of violation were mailed to the owner/occupant of a property at 430 Lawson Ave., cat boxes, indoor items and junked stacked on front and back porches; 807 South St., litter on side of property, high grass/weeds; 804 South St., high grass/weeds and litter and toilets in the rear of property; 810 South St., high grass/weeds; 500 block of South Fourth St., a couch and litter on front porch.
Pole hanger: An officer on patrol spotted a woman “hanging onto a pole” in the 200 block of South Third Street and said she appeared to be “fading out,” Tuesday. Police said the woman told them she was tired and initially denied taking any type of drug, but eventually told them she’d taken her prescribed suboxone. She denied medical assistance and police said she appeared to be alert, so they told her to leave the property.
Laptop recovered: Police saw a man lying on the sidewalk and when they stirred him, he told them his extended stay at the mission had expired and he didn’t know where to go, Tuesday. He was advised to pick up his trash and belongings and move along. Before leaving, he turned over a laptop he said belonged to a woman named Angela and said he’d gotten it from a male who obtained it from another guy who “traded (him) the laptop for a line of coke.” Police said he decided to turn the laptop over to them when they asked if it was stolen and said he was planning to give it back to the woman but it would be better if police would do it. They located the man who’d given it to him who said he purchased it from a man named “Kenneth” a week ago for $10, but it had been stolen from him. He said the woman had texted him, asking where the laptop was and said he doesn’t think “Kenneth” told the woman he’d sold it.
