Cat fight: A Dillonvale woman confronted an older neighbor whose husband she suspected of killing her cat, Wednesday. The younger woman told deputies the cat was last seen on the older woman’s property and neighbors had told her the woman’s husband killed it so she walked down to try and get it back. The older woman said the younger woman “immediately became argumentative” and started cursing her. She said the younger woman has “multiple cats running through the neighborhood” and during the argument had threatened her, though she couldn’t remember what the younger woman had said. The cat owner denied threatening anyone and claimed it was the older woman who was aggressive. The cat owner was advised to get any neighbors who heard the older woman’s husband talking about how he killed the cat to come forward, but otherwise the two of them should stay away from each other.
Alcohol fog: Callers reported a disturbance on county Road 56, Toronto, but deputies said the two people causing the problem each blamed the other for it, Wednesday. Deputies located the man’s car at a family member’s home, but the family member said he’d left on foot and refused to let them search the house without a warrant. The family member also told deputies his girlfriend “drinks too much and she is tired of it” and said the male had texted that “she hit him in the face a couple of times” so he’d left the residence.
