Anjelica N. Loyd, no age listed, 4144 Wells St., Weirton, domestic violence/battery, Feb. 11, arrested upon investigation of a domestic disturbance at 156 N. 24th St.
Andrew Charles Snyder, 21, 249 S. 13th St., Weirton, DUI first offense, reckless driving, Sunday, arrested upon investigation of a motor vehicle crash into a parked vehicle.
Schanda Rae Budney, 43, no fixed address, extortion and fentanyl possession, Monday, arrested following an investigation.
Dustin Andrew Minger, 27, 148 Beverly Ave., Weirton, fugitive from justice, Tuesday, subject was found to have an active warrant from Belmont County Sheriff's Department for receiving stolen property.
Steubenville Police
Couldn't get up: Police, assisted by city firefighters, rescued an older woman who hadn't been heard from in more than a week, Monday. Police said eights days' worth of mail was piled up at her front door so they looked for and found an open window. After searching the home police said they found her "trapped under a large amount of clothes and other debris" and said it "appeared she had been trapped for days" in a bathroom. She was transported by Steubenville EMS to the hospital.
Bad habits: Police say two juveniles were charged with shoplifting at Wal-Mart, Tuesday. They said the two could potentially face additional theft counts from the Shoe Department and Dollar Tree.
Wasting time: A caller who reported a parking problem at a Crabbe Boulevard complex apparently didn't like being told the city can't enforce assigned parking violations on private property, Tuesday. Police said after they gave the caller the bad news they called back, this time "alleging there was a loud party taking place and a disturbance at a (neighbor's) apartment and alleged drug use." Police said there was no party.
No returns: A city resident said her adult grandson "became upset with her for no apparent reason" after she picked him up at his girlfriend's home, Tuesday. She said he started yelling at her and when they got to her house, "began to slam the doors." She said he doesn't live with her and she doesn't want him to return.
No relief: Callers complained about someone in the 400 block of Lawson Avenue playing a loud radio, Tuesday. Police said when they arrived they "could hear an extremely loud radio playing in the rear of the residence" but were unable to make contact with the resident.
Vandlized: A resident in the 1200 block of Maryland Avenue said someone damaged his vehicle overnight, Monday. Police said all four tires had "obvious slash marks" and the driver's side windw was shattered. He said nothing appeared to be missing, but surveillance footage given to police showed the vandal "walking around the vehicle (then) bending down and puncturing the tires of each vehicle." The suspect then was seen wiping the snow off the side window and looking inside, and then took an item and shattered the window before walking to the side of the residence and climbing over the railing and "checking the door handle on the side door" before leaving the area.
Theft: Employees at Kroger gave police video of a woman who loaded $500 in merchandise into a cart and didn't pay for it, Monday. Police said when the cart locked up in the lobby, she threw the items into another cart before fleeing.
Return trip: A woman who was recently evicted from a residence in the 100 block of Wildon Avenue returned, Monday. The property owner showed police a photograph of the woman on the porch and asked them to check the interior of the property. As she walked through the property with them, the owner noted lights were left on throughout the first floor that were supposed to be off but nothing appeared to have been damaged or tampered with.
Harassment: A caller told police a male known to him had threatened him in a Mall Drive parking lot, "using profanities (directed) toward him and threatening to punch him," Monday.
Missing: An employee at Coen told police a man who tried to leave the store with stolen merchandise turned over several items he'd stuffed in his pants, but after he left they discovered "several more items (had been) concealed on his person" before he left the store.
Lock it or lose it: A Wellesley Avenue resident told police a "shorter male, wearing a hoodie and sweatpants" tried to get into her car, Wednesday. She said he then checked doors on other vehicles parked in the 1100 block.
Menaces: A resident in the 100 block of North Fourth Street told police juveniles running the halls were kicking her door, Monday.
Threatened: An employee at a downtown business advised a man "came into the store and made threats toward her," Monday. She said he previously stalked another employee.
Jefferson County Sheriff
Crazy talk: A Dillonvale woman said her ex was in her yard, "pacing back and forth, yelling" and otherwise "acting crazy," Tuesday. She said she wasn't sure if he was intoxicated and told deputies she locked herself in her house because he wouldn't leave. Deputies told him it was time to go, but she called back later to say he'd returned. This time, when they told him to leave and not return, he told them he needed "school items for his kids."
Scam try: A Steubenville resident told deputies he's being harassed and threatened by a scammer, Tuesday. He said the problems started when a man claiming to represent Huntington Bank told him someone in New York was trying to open an account in his name. The resident said he called the bank himself to confirm it and received another call. He said he hung up on the man but the next day was alerted that someone had closed a couple of his cards. He said he's still receiving threatening calls and texts.
Drugs: A man was unresponsive when a friend found him on the floor in his Jefferson County home, Wednesday. Deputies said a spoon and a capped syringe were still in his hand, so he was given two doses of Narcan at the scene before being transported to the hospital.
