Taking liberties: A Dillonvale resident said someone is putting their garbage in his pile, Wednesday. He told deputies he uses a private hauler and is limited in how many bags he can put out every week and and for the past few weeks he’s been finding extra bags that he didn’t make. He said his carrier charges him for the extra bags, so it’s costing him money. He suspects a neighbor.

Scam survivor: A Steubenville township resident said someone pretending to be from Chase Bank called her and tried to con her into providing sensitive information. She said she hung up when he began pressing her for information, then reported the incident to the bank as well as the three major credit reporting agencies. She also canceled the credit card.

Illegal dumper: A Jewett Road resident reported seeing someone in a white truck dumping furniture near their residence, Wednesday.

Red light: A caller reported seeing a strange pickup pulled onto her neighbor’s property and someone getting out “with a red light on their forehead,” Wednesday. She said the truck had left the scene but she wasn’t sure about the person who got out. Deputies found neither the truck or a stranger on the property, and the homeowner said footprints in the snow were hers.
