Nasty break: A woman who went to a Pico Street location to collect her brother's belongings after a breakup said she discovered it had been vandalized, Wednesday. She said she'd talked with his ex and "everything appeared civil," then noticed the interior "was destroyed as if smashed, including the touch screen." She said they argued and now his ex "was demanding they leave and was refusing to give her brother his electric wheelchair." The ex said it had "been a while" since they broke up and claimed she'd packed his things and put them in his vehicle in the driveway. She said she wasn't sure where the wheelchair was after his sister argued with her and "came at her in a combative manner." After speaking with police, she did turn over the wheelchair. Police said it appeared as if someone used a hammer or some other object to smash the interior of the vehicle.
Marital privilege: A Sherman Avenue resident said her husband drained $900 off her Chime card and her Galaxy A16 cell phone while she was in jail without her permission, Wednesday. Police said she considers it theft, but they told you that, due to them being married, it was not. They said it was a civil matter.
No money, no service: A woman refused to leave a downtown business, Wednesday. She claimed the clerk "was rude to her and refused to sell her a pack of cigarettes," but the clerk said the would-be customer "was just upset because she could not get any (money) from CashApp and began causing a disturbance."
Moving along: A Park Street resident told deputies she thinks someone is going into her apartment when she's not there and "moving things around," Thursday. She also said she thinks her mystery guest tampered with a cord to her furnace. After checking the interior and exterior of the building police suggested she contact her landlord about the issues "as she is in the process of being evicted and the landlord may be responsible for things being moved around."
Gummy problem: Police were told a city resident got tired of waiting for a juvenile believed to have ingested a marijuana gummy to be seen by doctors and went home, Tuesday. The man said he'd already sat in a caregiver's office for three hours and thought his grandson was feeling better when they left for home. They located the child, who by then was with his teenage mother and she told them she didn't know if the child had eaten anything he shouldn't. Police called Steubenville EMS, who found the child unresponsive on the floor, "breathing but barely reacting" and took him to the hospital. The grandfather said the baby and his mother had been staying elsewhere for a few weeks and when she left the child with him for a while he noticed "the baby was lethargic" and took him to a medical office.
Cut off: A Ridge Avenue resident said her downstairs neighbor cut off her electricity and water, Tuesday. She said the downstairs tenant is the only one with access to the utilities because they're in his apartment.
Different definitions: A caller reported a female being yelled at in a Chestnut Street residence, Tuesday. The woman said she, her husband and child had been involved "in an ongoing family disagreement and that voices had been raised." She said she was fine.
Landlord blues: A Wilson Avenue resident told police he was trying to move his property out of a garage he had been renting but the landlord "parked her personal vehicle in front of his, making it impossible for him to pull his vehicle out of the garage." Police attempted to speak with the landlord but said she was "completely uncooperative, and kept stating (he) owned her money." Police told the man they can't make her move her car.

Code issues: Notices of violation were sent to owners/occupants of properties at 125 Lovers Lane, litter and scattered items on front porch and yard; 144 Hollywood Blvd., card board boxes and other items scattered in parking lot and behind building; 403 Belleview Blvd., vehicle parked in yard with no license plates and flat tires in yard; siding, bathtub, fencing, propane tanks and scattered junk.
Cited: Paul L. Heffner, 44, 903 N. Fourth St., Toronto, speeding.

Ground cover: A man with a camper at the Pugliese Campground in Smithfield said he paid someone to pump his bathroom tank out and returned "a while back" to find the tank in his front yard and "feces everywhere." He said he paid the man another $125 to fix the tank but never got it back.
Erratic: A Dillonvale resident said a young woman was in his front yard screaming, Tuesday. The caller said she went out to confront her unwanted guest, but by then she was unresponsive. She was taken to West Virginia University Medicine Wheeling Hospital for evaluation.
Parking issue: Harrison County authorities asked deputies to track down a state Route 213 resident to "find out why her truck was in the middle of a field," Monday. Deputies were told she no longer lives at the address they were given.
Served: Andrew Zurek Jr., no age listed, 146 Roby St., Adena, parole violation, Wednesday.
Vandalized: A resident living on county Road 16 reported tires slashed on two of her family's vehicles, Wednesday. Deputies said two tires on one vehicle were ruined and three on the other.
Title fight: Two women were seen fighting outside the Rayland title office, Tuesday. The caller said nothing physical took place but there was "just a lot of yelling and (one of them) asked them to call the police." They were gone when the deputies arrived.
Meter hunting: A woman checking a Rayland residence for a family member said a man in a small gray SUV pulled up and told her he "needed to check meters in the residence," Tuesday. The homeowner told deputies he found that odd since he "doesn't have any meters inside" the home.
