The last laugh: Police reported seeing a vehicle with excessive tint and expired registration near Brady and Oregon avenues Sunday night and said as they approached, the driver drove away at a high rate of speed. The vehicle later was found unoccupied and parked in the 900 block of Oxford Boulevard and towed from the scene.

Good Samaritan: A person turned in a wallet he found in the road near Sixth Street Saturday afternoon.

Illegally parked: A citation was written for a motorcycle parked on the sidewalk on Oak Grove Avenue Saturday afternoon.

Shot reported: A resident reported hearing a gunshot near Christopher Avenue in Steubenville at about 9:40 p.m. Friday. The area was checked and nothing was found.

Creature sighting: A resident reported finding a baby goat on property near county Road 1 in Rayland at about 5 p.m. Saturday. The county’s humane officer was dispatched.
