Wounded: A Garrett Avenue resident told police he was holding his pistol when it accidentally went off, Friday. He said he was sitting on the end of the bed and the bullet went “through (his) hand.” He was flown by a medical helicopter to an area hospital.
Throwing punches: A man trying to get his motorcycle from his ex’s Belleview Boulevard garage said an argument started and he ended up in a scuffle with her new boyfriend, Monday. He said he had her permission to get his things but her beau “tackled him into the alley and began to punch him,” causing swelling and a laceration. His ex and her new boyfriend said his father had come with him and started “asking for more items,” which led to the argument. He said the younger man “began using profane language and got in his face when he was asked to leave the property,” admitting he tackled him and punched him when he “tried to gouge his eye.” Police said all injuries reported were superficial and advised them the report would be sent to the prosecutor for review.
