Jefferson County Drug Task Force
Homes raided: Two Toronto residents were taken into custody early Saturday after authorities allegedly found methamphetamine in their homes, Jefferson County Drug Task Force Commander Maj. Chris Vinci said.
Vinci said Dylan Wagner, 30, 620 N. 4th St., and Thomas Beaver, 51, 22 Mobile View, were charged with felony possession of methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia after task force detectives, assisted by the county’s Special Response Team, sheriff’s deputies and Toronto police, raided the two locations.
Detectives allegedly found 110 grams of methamphetamine in Wagner’s home and eight additional grams in Beaver’s home, Vinci said.
The task force is comprised of sheriff’s deputies, Steubenville police and the prosecutor’s office.

Cleaned out: A woman who cleaned a Vrbo rental property Thursday for the owner said the individuals who rented it arrived a day later only to find a light on, the bed mussed and the shower and toilet apparently used. Police said there was no sign of forced entry, but the woman said she had changed the lockbox code before leaving the day prior.
Twisted: A caller reported seeing “a male who was naked and appeared to be under the influence of drugs” at the Lawson Avenue exit Saturday. Ongoing issues: An Arlington Avenue resident said Friday that juveniles with whom he has had ongoing problems were “banging his fence gate and throwing mud on his garage and cement.” He wanted to pursue charges, but police spoke with the father of the juveniles, who said the caller “has been harassing him and his children for a while.” All parties were advised to keep their distance and were informed of the process for obtaining protection orders.
Money gone: A woman told police she attempted to withdraw a total of $500 from her account at a Lincoln Avenue ATM Friday but was unable to complete either transaction and left without cash. However, she later discovered her account showed the $500 had been withdrawn. She told police she had transaction receipts showing she left without the money.
