Booze-fueled: A Wellesley Avenue woman said she and her husband were arguing and he hit her Wednesday. She said he was intoxicated and when she went upstairs to bed he followed her, “grabbed her by the arms and threw her off the bed.” Her husband said they’d been arguing over religion and when he walked upstairs to use the restroom, she started “attacking” him so he “threw her on the bed and held her until she calmed down.” Police said he had bloody scratches on his arm and his knuckles were bleeding, which he said happened when he punched the TV. Police said his wife was also intoxicated and neither of them wanted to pursue charges so she left for the night.
Shots: A caller reported hearing shots fired in the 700 block of Rosswell Avenue Thursday morning. Police said they located evidence substantiating the report and the investigation is ongoing.
Freeloading: A man threw a cigarette butt can at an individual outside a business downtown Wednesday. The employee had admonished him for using an outdoor receptacle meant for company use to charge his phone.
Kicked out: Life Care Ambulance crews told police they were trying to transport a patient for care when he “fled the area after breaking an ambulance window” Wednesday.
Phone fight: A city resident said he lost his Android phone at the bus station Wednesday. He told police it was dead when he lost it but whoever found it had charged it and was using it. He said when he called his number a woman answered, refused to return it and when he called back, “she stopped answering.”
Booked: Jason T. Butler, 31, 143 Hollywood Blvd., Steubenville, vandalism and assault (two counts).
