DiCarlantonio to speak at conference

STEUBENVILLE — Our region will be represented at the DoorDash Main Street Strong Restaurant Conference.

Frankie DiCarlantonio, director of the Steubenville-based Scaffidi Restaurant Group, is scheduled to participate in the virtual event, which will be held Wednesday and Thursday.

He will join a panel of speakers at the national conference, which has been designed to allow restauranteurs to hear advice from the experts in the industry, have access to data and insights that are relevant to the current state of the industry and to continue the dialogue with like-minded owners and operators.

“I am honored to be asked to join the panel of speakers that will be speaking at the conference,” DiCarlantonio said. “The foodservice industry, among many other industries, has had so many hurdles to overcome in the last 19 months in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is important that owners and operators all throughout the United States can join to learn from each other to find ways to make it through the other side of this situation.”

DiCarlantonio will participate on a panel regarding the balancing of on-premise and off-premise sales in an establishment.

“It is important, now more than ever, that restaurants are able to balance their business to provide the best of both worlds to customers – for those that want to dine-in and those that want carryout either just for their own preference or for safety concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic, which is why I am so glad to be placed on such a worthy topic to speak on,” DiCarlantonio added.

“A lot of people have returned to normal in the wake of COVID-19, but in reality, it is still affecting our various brands to this day. While we are here and ready to accommodate our customers in whatever way they desire, within limitations due to staffing shortages, of course, there are still a lot of individuals that are not ready to partake in organizing and attending events, dining out, and much more.”
