EGCC set to launch billboard campaign
STEUBENVILLE — Eastern Gateway Community College will launch a new billboard campaign aimed at attracting students and promoting their debt-free college education. The billboards are located throughout Steubenville and in Mahoning, Columbiana, and Trumbull counties.
“At Eastern Gateway, we know that a debt-free college education is a stepping stone to a brighter future for so many of our students,” said Eastern Gateway Community College President Michael Geoghegan. “We hope that, through these billboards, we can spread the message that debt-free college is a reality and you can pursue higher education without amassing great debts so you can graduate and reap the financial benefits of a degree.”
“Thousands of students have earned their degree at Eastern Gateway and they are out in our community, furthering their careers and their dreams. And they did it without taking on thousands of dollars of debt,” said Arthur Daly, senior vice president and chief development officer at the school. “It’s about putting students first, and setting them up for a lifetime of success. That all starts with a debt-free college degree and we hope we can attract students with that message through these billboards.”
The billboard campaign is set to run through mid-July.
Locations include state Route 7 and Dean Martin Boulevard; state Route 7 and North Third Street; and Sunset Boulevard in Steubenville.
