TORONTO — For the eighth year, J.E. Foster Funeral Home held a contest challenging local pupils to create an image that reflects their view of spring.
And, once again, the work of the top winner in the Color Your Spring Contest will appear on the billboard along Franklin Street and sponsored by the funeral home.
Fourth-grader Remey Hoffman’s colorful entry features a rainbow across a blue sky filled with birds and a butterfly above a landscape of flowers.
Hoffman received a small replica of his creation as it will appear on the billboard.
Winners were named for each grade at Toronto Elementary School and included fifth-grader Alexis Blanton, third-grader Muhammad Ibrahim, second-grader Kinsley Humphrey, first-grader Skylar Boyd and kindergartener Maddox Moores.
