EGCC launches its new ‘Pass the Torch’ referral effort
STEUBENVILLE — Eastern Gateway Community College is launching a Pass the Torch campaign to encourage current students and alumni to help grow the Gator Nation by referring new students to enroll for the fall semester.
“Our students and alumni at Eastern Gateway understand better than anyone the doors that are opened when you enroll in our college. The Pass the Torch campaign is designed to encourage our students and alumni to refer their friends, co-workers and family members to Eastern Gateway,” said Michael Geoghegan, EGCC president.
“Our goal at Eastern Gateway is a debt-free college degree for all our students. The Pass the Torch campaign will help us grow the Gator Nation,” Geoghegan said.
“We’re also giving our students and alumni who refer new students to Eastern Gateway a chance to win a $5,000 or $2,500 scholarship to a four-year institution or a laptop or an iPad. No one understands the dream of going to college or graduating with a debt-free degree like our current students and alumni. We’re asking them to Pass the Torch and light the pathway for a higher education for friends, co-workers and family,” Geoghegan said.
Enrollment for the fall semester is now open.
Eastern Gateway has set up a link on the college website where students and alumni can go for more information about the campaign and submit a referral for a chance to win: https://egcc.edu/passthetorch/
