WINTERSVILLE — Husband-and-wife Tim and Kristen Beiber have decided to apply their interests to two new businesses with diverse purposes.

Located at 729 Main St., the Scent Shack offers an assortment of scented candles while Timages Photography offers photography and video production for private and commercial purposes.

Kristen said she has been making and selling scented candles for some time, reaching customers mostly through word of mouth, before deciding to bring all of them under one roof.

Visitors to the store will find candles molded in traditional and unusual shapes. For example, there are candles that resemble bowls of cereal, complete with milk and spoons and others that resemble cupcakes and other treats so much, one might be tempted to take a bite.

Kristen said her most popular stock includes a line of Starbucks candles, which resemble bottles of the popular coffees and emit aromas associated with their various flavors.

Other favorites include wax melts in Baja blast, blueberry cheesecake and chocolate chip cookie scents, among others.

Hours for the candle store are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

Tim said he took up photography about nine years ago after his daughter was born and turned it into a professional sideline five years ago after a friend asked him to shoot his wedding.

Enjoying the variety of it, he decided to do it full time, he said.

Tim said he’s available to shoot weddings and other special events as well as individual and family portraits while using a variety of backdrops in his studio or natural outdoor settings.

“I like to shoot in the Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Columbus areas,” he said.

Tim also offers his talents to businesses and other organizations, for which he can produce head shots, photos of products and other images needed for branding and promotional material.

He added he has experience with a video camera and is available to record weddings or produce promotional videos for businesses, with access to actors and models to bring their ideas to life.

Those interested in meeting with Tim may call (740) 232-9888 or e-mail him at timagesphotography@yahoo.com.

Both businesses have Facebook pages, and Tim has posted many samples of his work on his website at timagesphotography.com.

Married for 10 years, the pair has three children: Blake, Shannon and Braydn.

Kristen said they are very excited to be doing business in Wintersville, adding she acquired a booth at the Wednesdays in Wintersville street fair to get her name out.

“I wanted to be in Wintersville. The people here are great,” she said.
