RETIREES HONORED: Several retirees from UMWA Local 1304 were honored for 50 years of service by officials with District 31. The list included Michael Ballato of Weirton, Paul Sliva of Adena, Herbert Keller of Cadiz, Jerry Besozzi and Scio and Robert Balvin of St. Clairsville.

RECOGNIZED: The Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County won a PR Xchange Award for 2023 from the American Library Association. Graphic design and strategist Kelly Branagan submitted and won an award for the design of an early literacy bookmark. The bookmark will be showcased at the American Library Association conference in June.
