‘Recharge, restore and relax’ is the goal of Mystic Wolf Wellness
Warren Scott RELAXATION IS THEIR GOAL — The Follansbee Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting to welcome Jay Keener-Welsch and Jake Keener-Welsch, owners of Mystic Wolf Wellness, a new business offering services and products aimed at helping people relax. It is in room 109 of the Bluewave Center at 1400 Main St., Follansbee.
FOLLANSBEE — The owners of Mystic Wolf Wellness said their goal is to help people “recharge, restore and relax” through services and products at their new business in room 109 of the Bluewave Center.
Formerly Follansbee Middle School, the building at 1400 Main St. (state Route 2) is home to a variety of businesses.
Jay Keener-Welsch and Jake Keener-Welsch said they offer bath and body care products produced with all natural materials by themselves as well as assorted teas, crystals and home decor items created by themselves and others to help customers establish a peaceful environment for themselves.
The two also practice reiki, an ancient Japanese technique whose practitioners believe they can ease pain and anxiety by transferring energy through the light touch of their palms on a clothed client; the reading of tarot cards to predict individuals’ futures, a practice dating to 15th century Europe.
As life coaches, they offer to help people determine a path to their goals.
A Wellsburg native and 1995 graduate of Brooke High School, Jay started a similar business with Jake, a native of Akron, two years ago in California but they have decided to bring their knowledge and talents to the Ohio Valley.
Jay said at this time, Mystic Wolf Wellness is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday but there are plans to expand those hours at the end of the month.
Appointments for reiki, tarot and life coaching sessions may be made by calling (304) 404-3370.
