Owner of new Wellsburg nail salon takes pride in attention to detail

Contributed ATTENTION TO DETAIL — Family members and members of the Wellsburg Chamber of Commerce joined Emily Brucchi for a ribbon cutting marking the opening of her nail salon, La Luna Nails 304, in the Tropical Illusions building on state Route 2.

WELLSBURG — Whether applying a variety of colors and patterns to the nails of her clients or working to ensure they are in a clean, comfortable setting, Emily Brucchi takes pride in her attention to detail.

“I like to do nail art,” said Brucchi, the owner of La Luna 304, a new nail salon in the Tropical Illusions building at 1420 Commerce St.

From French tips to intricate patterns in a wide range of colors, she enjoys adding some flair to each client’s nails.

And she also has applied unique textures to nails and painted detailed faces and figures, from cartoon characters to West Virginia’s legendary Mothman, on them.

Her clients may choose from an acrylic fill, hard gel overlay or fill and a gel manicure.

Pedicures, with or without a paraffin wax treatment, are available.

Samples of her work can be seen on the La Luna 304 Facebook page.

Brucchi has established the nail salon in a room at the rear of the Shear Perfection hair salon, and she works to keep it a clean and peaceful space.

“I clean and disinfect between everybody. And I have a three-step process to cleaning and sterilizing my tools,” she said.

Brucchi expressed thanks to Dana Miller and Lisa Stewart, owners of the hair salon, for assisting and welcoming her.

A 2017 graduate of Brooke High School, she is a recent graduate of the Morgantown Beauty College but has been decorating the nails of family members for a number of years. It was fitting, then, that her family was on hand for a ribbon cutting held recently by the Wellsburg Chamber of Commerce.

Following graduation from high school, Brucchi lived in Atlanta for a time, but she said she always knew she would return to the Ohio Valley and the comparatively quieter pace of life in this region.

She said she’s received positive response from the many who have come to her and is looking forward to serving them and others.

La Luna 304, which takes its name from the Latin for “The Moon” and the area code for West Virginia, is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, with appointments available on Wednesdays.

Brucchi suggests everyone make an appointment to ensure she is able to provide each customer with sufficient attention. She can be reached at (304) 224-5704 or e.brucchi.nails304@gmail.com.
