Road work

default

Heavy equipment operator students at Jefferson County Joint Vocational School were completing a special road project on the campus to benefit their program. Instructor Anthony Materna said his pupils hauled 30 tons of stone and formed a route to the heavy equipment parking area, and the project will improve safety. Other projects included finishing a transmission update on a dump truck and servicing an excavator, while the junior class project will get underway once the weather improved. The HEO program includes 12 seniors and 14 juniors who are preparing for the heavy equipment and construction trade. (Contributed photo)
