Cara Copeland of Bloomingdale graduated with a doctor of dental medicine degree at the College of Dental Medicine-Arizona of Midwestern University.

Copeland is the daughter Debbie DeLeonardis Bloomingdale and Jeff Copeland of Cadiz. She graduated from Catholic Central High School in 2004. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Ohio State University in 2007 and completed a two-year postbaccalaureate program in anatomy at the university in 2011. She plans to practice dental medicine in Scottsdale, Ariz.

School of Pharmacy

MORGANTOWN – Local residents awarded doctor of pharmacy degrees from the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy were:

Molly Cline of Colliers, the daughter of Linda Cline and the late Douglas Cline and a graduate of Brooke High School. She graduated cum laude and achieved both president’s and dean’s list honors. At graduation, Cline was the recipient of the Dean’s Outstanding Achievement Award in recognition of leadership to the School of Pharmacy, the university or the profession of pharmacy.

Melissa Hood of Follansbee, daughter of Randy Hood and Connie Tarr and a graduate of Brooke High School and West Virginia Wesleyan College with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. She achieved dean’s list honors. Hood graduated cum laude with a clinical pharmacy practice area of emphasis.

Julie Larch of Weirton, daughter of Jim and Kim Larch and a graduate of Weir High School. She achieved president’s and dean’s list honors. Larch will be completing a pharmacy practice residency at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, Ohio.

Jessica N. Sikora of Weirton, daughter of Mark and Diana Sikora and graduate of Weir High School. She achieved dean’s list honors. Sikora will be completing a pharmacy practice residency with Duquesne University School of Pharmacy and Giant Eagle pharmacy.
