History fair to be held Saturday in Avella

AVELLA, Pa. -- The second annual A.D. White History Fair, including a book signing by local author Kathryn Slasor, will be held Saturday at the Avella Fire Hall.

Doors will open at 9 a.m. for the event, which will coincide with a car cruise at the fire hall, and food will be provided by the women of St. Michael Catholic Church.

Local author Kathryn Slasor will be signing copies of her book, "Under the Sugar Tree," which includes tales of human interest as well as local history.
