Variety of programs, activities
offered at library branches
STEUBENVILLE -- A variety of programs and activities have been planned at the various locations of the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County, including the following:
Adena Branch, (740) 546-3782
Adults: Cookbook club will meet to sample and discuss recipes made by participants on Thursday at 5 p.m. Call to join.
Children: Story Hour, for parents with children ages 2-6, will be held Monday at 11:15 a.m. Registration is required.
Babygarten, for parents with children birth to 2, will be held Thursday at 11:15 a.m. This is a lap-sit program that shares books, rhymes and songs to help babies with language development and early literacy skills.
Children can make a craft at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Registration is required.

Children: Play and Learn the Alphabet, for parents with children ages 2-6, at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Children will play with letter-learning toys to help with early literacy skills.
Adults: Color pages designed for adults on Monday at 6 p.m.

Adults and Teens: Book Club will meet to discuss "The Hidden Flame" by Davis Bunn and Janette Oke on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Call to join.
Get Tech Help to download e-books, movies, magazines and more from the library website to an electronic device from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Call for 15-minute appointment.
The Main Library Book Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Call to join. During the main library's construction for the Americans with Disabilities Act Project, the book blub will meet for discussion at the Schiappa Branch.
Children: Play and Learn the Alphabet will be held at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Thursday and also April 27 at 10:30 a.m.
Education students from Franciscan University's Content Area Reading class will display the creative Big Books they designed to connect literacy concepts to the subject areas they hope to someday teach. Parents and children will enjoy interacting with students to look at and read their large books during the Big Book Showcase for be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Watch a family movie at the library on April 27 at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Registration is required.

Fundraiser spaghetti dinner
today at Wintersville church
WINTERSVILLE -- Crossroads Christian Church, 110 Springdale Ave., is the site of a spaghetti dinner fundraiser today from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Proceeds will benefit Lila Cross, an LPN at Sienna Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Wintersville, to help with medical expenses.
The dinner includes spaghetti, salad, bread and dessert for $8. Patrons can dine in or get carry-out.

WEIRTON -- The Weirton Steel Management Club will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday at 5:30 pm at Giovanni's Family Restaurant. All members, former members and guests are invited to the dinner and social time.
Presentation on sunflowers
at Puskarich Public Library
CADIZ -- Adele Mason, a member of the OSU Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program, will be giving a presentation on sunflowers at 6 p.m. on May 7 at the Puskarich Public Library located at 200 E. Market St.
Mason will discuss making a sunflower house, growing sunflowers for pollinators, saving and storing seeds and the benefits of sunflower butters.
The program is suitable for children and adults alike. The presentation will finish with a craft suitable for a Mother's Day gift. Parents should attend with their child to assist them with this project.
