topic for 'Taking the Lead'
STEUBENVILLE -- The YWCA of Steubenville, 320 N. Fourth St., will continue its "Taking the Lead" networking breakfast on Wednesday, beginning at 8 a.m.
The monthly seminars are geared to women entrepreneurs, women in senior management or women who want to start or are starting a business.
Wednesday's presenter will be Rhonda Seelig, registered dietitian, whose topic will be "Diets -- Fads and Facts."
It will include the importance of diet and nutrition with discussion centering around current popular diets and how to handle stress eating.
The cost of $10 includes a continental breakfast.

Classic Classicals to perform
for Thursday Music Club
WHEELING -- The Thursday Music Club will hold its luncheon meeting at 11 a.m. on March 7 at the Stifel Fine Arts Center, 1330 National Road.
Classic Classicals of West Liberty University, under the direction of Linda Cowan and Angela Day, will entertain the club. Sponsors for this entertainment are Geri Sloane and Kathryn Wallington.
Sloane will conduct a brief business meeting and hear reports from Secretary Arlene Lawson and Treasurer Carol Couch. After the meeting, lunch will be served. To make a reservation due Monday, call Emily Mayer at (304) 232-1714 or (304) 780-4155.
The study group will meet at 1 p.m. on March 11 at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1409 Chapline St. Lois Neitzel will be the presenter and Mayer, the hostess.

The Thursday Music Club Chorus, under the direction of Anita Chops and accompanist Debbie Breiding, continue practicing on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon for the spring concert in April. of events and activities
STEUBENVILLE -- The Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County has scheduled the following events and activities at its various locations including:

Children: Play and Learn the Alphabet, for parents with children ages 2-6, will be held Monday at 11:15 a.m. Children will play with letter-learning toys. Toys at this program promote alphabet knowledge and other early literacy skills.
Babygarten, for parents with children birth to 2, will be Thursday, beginning at 11:15 a.m. This is a lap-sit program that will help babies with language development and other early literacy skills.
Children can make a craft at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

'Charlotte's Web' to be shown
at Mary H. Weir Library
WEIRTON -- The Mary H. Weir Public Library in Weirton will present "Charlotte's Web," rated G, on March 9, beginning at 2 p.m., to celebrate Weirton Elementary School's "Read to Me Weirton" program.
Admission and popcorn are free, and guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and soft drinks. The accessible Walnut Street doors will open at 1:45 p.m. No reservations are necessary.
