Members of the GFWC Woman’s Club of Mingo Junction recently planted pinwheels at the south entrance to town. The pinwheels from A Caring Place Child Advocacy Center in Wintersville are a national symbol for child abuse prevention during April, which is Child Abuse Prevention Month. The awareness project has been a longtime project for the Mingo club, represented here by, from left, members Pam Pietro and Joanne Gorney and club President Sharon Cole-Isner.
