The Sycamore Youth Center will be partnering with the Anointed Kids of Calvary, a group of youth from the Calvary Community Missionary Baptist Church, to put on a youth rally titled “The Youth Are Our Future.” The free event will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on June 27 at the center located at 301 N. Fourth St., Steubenville, and will feature a number of talented youth, including Darren Holt, commUNITY Youth Choir, 2018 Valley’s Got Talent winners the Ambassadors Mime Team, The A.K.C Dance Team, Hip Hop artists CBE 180 and Minister of Truth and Magician Khoa Nguyen of Trinity Health System. The idea for the event originated with Steubenville High School freshman Angelicia Keirsey, right, who pitched the idea to Bobbyjon Bauman, president of the Ohio Valley Youth Network nd director of the sycamore Youth Center, and took the reigns to pull together the event with some assistance from Bauman. “I’m so thrilled to see a young person in the community take the initiative to pull together an event like this to share the love and grace of God with our area youth,” Bauman said. “She has done a great job pulling this together with very little help from me, and I’m thrilled to help see her vision for this event come to pass.
