CADIZ WOMEN'S GOLF LEAGUE
CADIZ -- The Cadiz Women's Golf League played a low net game on Sept. 19.
Hostesses Jane Galigher and Kathy Newburn announced winners as: First place, Kathy Smith; second place, Lori DeFallo; and tied for third place were Kathy Newburn and Paula Hope.
Low Putts were won by Nep Rowland, Lori Defallo and Marilyn Kenny. Birdies were achieved by Brenda Hartley on hole No. 3 and Marilyn Kenny on hole No. 15.
Chair Brenda Hartley reminded all members to sign up for the final day of play at 1 p.m. and awards dinner at 6 p.m.
RED OAKS LADIES LEAGUE
The ladies of the Red Oaks Ladies League traveled to Wellsburg on Sept. 16 and played the front nine holes at Highland Springs. The play of the day was N.O.S.E.
The first-place winner was Yuko Atwell with the second-place prize won by Lucy Karaan. There was a four-way tie for third place, which was decided using the card. Kathi Moore took the honor.
The prize for longest drive on hole No. 4 was taken by Linda Caputo, who also birdied hole No. 9. Tammy Koutsky won the prize for closest to the pin on hole No. 5. Three members had chip-ins: Tammy Koutsky on hole No. 3; Kathi Moore also on hole No. 3; and Pat Carey on hole No. 6.
On Monday the women will play at Red Oaks with a start time of 4:45 p.m. Call the club house to sign up before 3:30 p.m. that day.
TOWN AND COUNTRY
Town and Country Golf played the back nine of Spring Hills Golf Course for the second half of their club championship on Sept. 12.
The day's winners were: A flight, Signa Findlay; B flight, Norma Henson; and C flight, Toni Jean Dondzila. Low putts was Henson.
Other winners were:
Long drive hole No. 11: A flight, Laura Froehlich; B flight, Dora Elizaga; and C flight, Shirley Guida.
Long drive hole No. 17: A flight, Froehlich; B flight, Henson; and C flight, Sondra Hyde.
Closest to the pin hole No. 14: A flight, Wanda Retzer; B flight, Elizaga; and C flight, Guida.
