The Church Yarn Ministry of the First Presbyterian Church of Toronto sponsored a program partnering with the Toronto American Legion Post 86 to show appreciation to its veterans. The Yarn Ministry and friends donated handmade items, and the congregation donated various personal gifts to extend the effort to show thanks to local heroes. "We want them to know they and their sacrifices are not forgotten or taken for granted," a spokesperson noted. The Yarn Ministry welcomes new members who would like to use their crochet or knitting talents to support and celebrate others.
