Chorale starts rehearsals Monday for spring concert
STEUBENVILLE — The Ohio Valley Chorale will resume rehearsals for their spring concert, starting on Monday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at First Westminster Presbyterian Church, located at 235 N. Fourth St., Steubenville.
Rehearsals are then held every Monday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. through April.
“These rehearsals kick off the chorale’s fourth season and begin preparations for their seventh concert since their inception in 2017,” explained Erik Waugh, director.
All singers, age 15 and up, are welcome to join, and there is no audition required. The ability to read choral music is strongly recommended.
“While there is no fee to participate in the chorale, we do ask that members pay for their music, which is $25,” Waugh noted. “We are always welcoming new members, and we look forward to seeing our returning members as well.”
The Ohio Valley Chorale’s members “collectively represent a variety of not just ages, but music experience levels, faith backgrounds, students, professionals, retirees, etc.”
This year’s spring concert is scheduled to be held April 26 at First Westminster Presbyterian Church, beginning at 3 p.m. “More details will be announced at a later time,” Waugh added. “The Ohio Valley Chorale is thrilled to offer their concerts free of charge and open to the public, but those performances are only possible with the financial support of our community, friends and family. All donations, big and small, can help us continue to provide quality choral programs to our community.”
Donations may be made payable to Ohio Valley Chorale and sent to 631 Canton Road, Wintersville, OH 43953. Questions can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the Facebook site.horale.
