Candids from the annual Pinewood Derby

The 2020 Boy Scouts of America Two Chiefs District's Pinewood Derby is history and with it, history was made for the local event with a first-time girl winner.
Reagan Huggins of Pack 334 in Weirton placed first in the competition.
Today's community page is devoted to photos from the weekend event held at the Fort Steuben Mall, which longtime Chairman Joe Kovaleski expressed appreciation for hosting the derby and for the support of many longtime staff volunteers who make the event happen.
He also applauded several businesses who make the annual tradition special, including The Ville, Touch of Elegance Bakery, Great American Cookies, Texas Roadhouse, Wintersville Trophy Shop and Celebrations.
Saturday's events included the final rounds of elimination races and the ultimate race to discover the top six finishers. Trophies were awarded to those final six winners. Derby patches were given to every racer, and race ribbons were awarded to the heat winners.
In Friday night action, races were held, and awards were given in two categories -- family race stock class and family race hot rod class.
Congratulations to all the winners.
