Richmond’s Memorial Day parade has been canceled
RICHMOND — Richmond’s annual Memorial Day parade, which is sponsored by the Richmond Community Historical Society, has been canceled.
Participants who annually have been a part of the parade are being notified by letter of the cancellation, according to Wendy Byers, who serves as parade co-chair with Donna Corder.
The parade would have been held on May 25. The Memorial Day breakfast that would have been held that morning at the Richmond United Methodist Church also has been canceled.
Retired teachers association
in need of a piano player
STEUBENVILLE — The Jefferson County Retired Teachers Association needs a member of the association who plays piano to perform “God Bless America” at the September and November meetings.

Hancock County Humane Foundation plans May 31 clinic
NEW CUMBERLAND — The Hancock County Humane Foundation will hold a low-cost cat spay and neuter clinic on May 31.

BERGHOLZ — The Bergholz Community Foundation will be accepting grant funding applications from 501(c)(3) organizations now through June 30, according to its Facebook page.
