Cadiz Women's

Golf League

"Three Blind Mice" was the play of the day June 10 for the Cadiz Women's Golf League.

Hostesses were Bonnie Beetham and Tracy Amos.

The winners were: A flight, Tracey Amos; B flight, Sandy Terek; and C flight, Judy Crawshaw. The "Putt Pot" was won by Nep Rowland and Karen Simms. Tracy Amos, Kathy Newburn, Paula Hope, Roberta Cireddu, Janice Cook and Kathy Smith all had birdies while Janet Backel and Roberta Cireddu had chip-ins.

Red Oaks Ladies

Golf League

The women of the Red Oaks Ladies Golf League opened their season on June 1. The play was on the front nine. The game played was "Throw out scores of your two worst holes."

Ruth Lamantia came in first place, Yuko Atwell came in second, and Kathy Moore placed third. Brenda McKloskey took low putt honors.

All women golfers are invited to play in this league.

The evening league plays Mondays at 5 p.m. Call the golf course at (740) 944-1400 before 3:30 p.m. the day of play to sign up.

Participants should try to be at the course at least 20 minutes before the 5 p.m. tee-off time so teams can be formed. The last Monday of each month the league plays at Highland Springs in Wellsburg with the same start time.

Spring Hills

Ladies Golf League

The Spring Hills Ladies Golf League began season play June 11 with the following winners:

Team: Kathi Moore, Vickie Grant, Judy Galbraith and Arlene Owens.

Chip in: Ruth Lamantia.

Long drive: A, Ruth Lamantia; B, Brenda McCloskey; and C, Tammy Koutsky.

50-50 winner: Tammy Cox.

The meeting was conducted by Judy Galbraith with input from Dan Stacey. Players are reminded to call the pro shop by 2 p.m. Thursday for tee times.

Town and Country

Town and Country Golf got their season under way a month later than usual on June 4 with "One Mulligan" play.

Winners were:

A flight, Laura Froehlich; B flight, Norma Henson; and C flight, Sondra Hyde and Rose Kaczmarek.

Low putts were Wanda Retzer and Kathy Antinone.

Other winners were:

Long drive hole No. 3: A flight, Antinone; B flight,Toni Jean Dondzila; and C flight, Hyde.

Long drive hole No. 6: A flight, Signa Findlay; B flight, Henson; and C flight, Nancy Lelli.

Closest to the pin hole No. 4: A flight, Retzer, and C flight, Shirley Guida.

The league meets at 10 a.m. on Thursdays at Spring Hills Golf Course. New members are welcome.
