Fun Show on Saturday at Steubenville Saddle Club

Saturday brings the second of three installments of the fun show dates for the Steubenville Saddle Club.Kirsten Turner and Zach Murray, shown with Remington the dog, are the co-organizers of the shows held at the club grounds at 8675 state Route 152 N., Richmond. The arena is open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. It is open to the public. The final one is set for Sept. 26. Light refreshments will be available. For information, call (740) 424-7014. A fun show is “a speed/timed event with fun classes, all different types. Anyone is welcome, any age or discipline. The whole idea of it is to just have fun and relax and enjoy an evening at the arena watching kids and people have some relaxed fun,” Turner noted. Also, a participant competes in one of the events at the first fun show held June 6. The fun shows are in addition to the Steubenville Saddle Club’s regular show season schedule, with the last one set for Sept. 13. The judged pleasure and contesting show is a rain-or-shine event that begins at 9 a.m. with halter/showmanship classes. Contest classes do not begin before 3 p.m.
