Camera club announces
July competition winners
WINTERSVILLE --The Upper Ohio Valley Camera Club has announced July competition winners to the theme "Fog."
The theme category winners were: First place, John Hanish; second place, Michelle Stevens; and third place, Melissa Taylor. The open category winners were: First place, Melissa Taylor; second place, John Hanish; and third place, Michelle Stevens. The special effects category winners were: First place, Michelle Stevens; second place, Barb Momyer; and third place, Karen Felix.
The Upper Ohio Valley Camera Club welcomes anyone who has an interest in photography. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m at Two Ridges Presbyterian Church's outdoor pavilion, 1085 Canton Road, Wintersville. For information, visit the website at www.uovcc.org or Facebook page.

Recipe club continues online with ideas for bag lunches
WELLSBURG -- The Brooke County Public Library's Cook by the Book Recipe Club continues to offer online cooking tips, with ideas for bag lunches to be shared live at noon Aug. 25 at the library's Facebook page at Brooke County Public Library and Follansbee Branch.
Phil Keaggy September concert at Sycamore now in February
STEUBENVILLE -- The Phil Keaggy concert scheduled for Sept. 26 at the Sycamore Youth Center, located at 301 N. Fourth St., has been rescheduled for Feb. 27 at 7 p.m.
Regarded as one of the top guitar players in the world, Keaggy won his first Dove award in 1988 for his instrumental album, "The Wind and the Wheat." His second Dove Award came in 1992 for his Celtic-influenced, "Beyond Nature." Each year from 1998 to 2001, he has dominated the "Instrumental Record" category at the Doves, winning for "Invention," "Acoustic Sketches," "Majesty and Wonder" and most recently "Lights of Madrid."
For three consecutive years, Keaggy was voted one of the top fingerstyle guitarists by Guitar Player Magazine readers.
Keaggy's solo career has spanned more than 40 years and has included more than 60 solo albums, vocal and instrumental, eight releases with his band, Glass Harp and numerous duets and trio albums. One of the most sought-after studio guitarists, he also continues to sell out concerts all over the United States, with his ever-changing style, ranging from rock-and-roll to fully orchestrated instrumental compositions.These days, Keaggy continues to delight audiences all over the U.S., performing primarily acoustic shows and occasional concerts with a band.

Jefferson County Veterans
Association to meet Sept. 2
STEUBENVILLE -- The Jefferson County Veterans Association will meet at 1 p.m. on Sept. 2 at Friendship Park in Smithfield at the shelter between the Military Park and Honor Wall, weather permitting.
In the event of inclement weather, the meeting will be conducted in the utility building at the end of the drag strip. Masks are required, and safe distancing will be observed.
Completion of the Honor Wall area will be discussed as well as a possible Veterans Day program.
All honorably discharged veterans are welcome to attend the meeting.
