Smithfield Historical Society makes building updates
SMITHFIELD — The Smithfield Historical Society has been unable to hold regular meetings or events because of the coronavirus pandemic restrictions, but members have been using the time to make some building updates.
Thanks to a Pugliese Charitable Foundation grant, renovations to the bathroom, kitchen and storage garage have been made possible. Treasurer Linda Kovach and Trustee Frank Kovach applied for the grant and supervised the project.
The society plans to resume meetings in April, but anyone interested in viewing the museum can contact Kovach at (740) 733-8381 or President Judie Phillippi at (740) 733-8484. Memorabilia donations are always appreciated, it was noted.
