Annual New Cumberland Hall

of Fame has been canceled

NEW CUMBERLAND — The New Cumberland Hall of Fame that is held in February every year to honor citizens who have been nominated by the public for their volunteerism and service to the community and its citizens has been canceled for 2021 because of COVID-19, a spokesperson has announced.

“The committee feels that the health of everyone is very important at this time.”

Nominations will still be accepted for 2022 and will be added to the ballot for voting in October 2021. Nominations may be sent to any member of the committee and needs to be the opinion of the person writing the letter.

One Voice Music Festival

happening in Burgettstown

BURGETTSTOWN — One Voice Music Festival will present “a world-awakening 2020 revival and music” under a tent over a three-day period on the grounds of Victory Life Ministries, 590 Old Steubenville Pike.

It will be held from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday; from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday; and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon with music and preaching from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Low-cost spay-neuter clinic

is scheduled for Oct. 3-4

STEUBENVILLE — The Brooke County Animal Welfare League will host the Roaming Animal Sterilization Clinic at Low Cost Oct. 3 and 4 at the Steubenville American Legion on North Fifth Street.

Any interested pet owners should call (304) 374-4443 as appointments are limited and required. No walk-ins will be accepted. Appointments are not limited to Brooke County residents.

Poe to be revived on Oct. 1

in live online presentation

WELLSBURG — Actor Rob Velella will play Edgar Allen Poe, renowned author of the macabre, in a live online presentation at 6 p.m. Oct. 1.

After discussing the famed writer in the first person, Velella will answer questions about Poe and himself from participants in the Zoom session.
