Wellsburg Elks Lodge to hold

spaghetti dinner fundraiser

WELLSBURG -- The Wellsburg Elks Lodge, at 834 Charles St., will hold a spaghetti dinner, with take-out available, at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The cost is $8 for the meal, which will also will include a salad, bread, dessert and non-alcoholic drink. It is free for veterans.

The lodge and Cub Scout Pack 1553 also will properly dispose of damaged U.S. flags at that time.

detail story hour schedule

Brooke County Public Libraries will hold virtual story hours with fall themes at noon Nov. 16, 23 and 30 and at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, Nov. 25 and Dec. 2.

There also will be a Veterans Day story hour at 5 p.m. Wednesday featuring a recording of author Colleen Driscoll reading her book, "Buddy's Special Mission."

Brooke Senior Center offers

veterans transportation

FOLLANSBEE -- The Brooke County Senior Center continues to offer veterans transportation to veteran medical facilities in Pittsburgh on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Local veterans should call (304) 527-3410 ext. 1 as soon as they know their appointment to arrange a seat in the van.

The center also offers transportation for others to medical appointments. Call the above number for information.

Attorney general rep to visit

A representative of state Attorney General Patrick Morrisey will be available to answer questions and hear concerns from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Brooke County Courthouse.
