Valley’s Got Talent winners

“We had well more than 2,500 online viewers of the Valley’s Got Talent competition this year, which was held Sunday at the Sycamore Youth Center with in-person attendance only for family members of participants,” reported Bobbyjon Bauman, president of the Ohio Valley Youth Network, which organizes the event. “Those who missed the show can watch it on the Sycamore Youth Center YouTube page,” Bauman noted. The VGT is put on by the Ohio Valley Youth Network, and competitors must live within a 35-mile radius of the Sycamore Youth Center and be between the ages 10 to 23. There were five categories — choirs, vocal groups, vocal soloists, dance and miscellaneous (mime, poetry, etc.) Prize money totaling $1,000 was awarded as part of the event sponsored by Franciscan University of Steubenville and Trinity Health System. A list of the winners and their categories are: Overall winner, Faire May; vocal soloist winner, Nathan Bauman; vocal soloist runner-up, Emiliana McCalister; vocal group winner, Blest (Brookes sisters); vocal group runner-up, Hannah and Gianna Hough; dance winner, Rose Bergsma; dance runner-up, Kaly Shafer; miscellaneous winner, Hannah Mergen and Grace McKeegan; misc
