Woman’s Club of Mingo

hears reports, makes donation

MINGO JUNCTION — The GFWC Woman’s Club of Mingo held its December meeting at Bay Six Conference Room on Commercial Street in Mingo Junction. President Sharon Cole-Isner gave the welcome.

Shelly Bateman gave the blessing, and Cole-Isner led the members in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and the club collect.

Monthly reports were given by Kathy Maguschak and Cole-Isner.

A report was given on the Christmas Lottery Tree drawing which was held and won by Maguschak. The club thanked Bernie Carpico’s husband, Baci Carpico, for selling 120 tickets to help make the fundraiser a success.

Stephanie Rouse reported on the RADA Cutlery fundraiser. A report also was given on the Sees Candy fundraiser.

The club voted to give a donation to Bay Six for its Christmas Kids project.

Bateman and Rouse provided favors of mini Christmas tree candy dishes and “cleaning britches” for each member. Diana Taylor won the door prize.

Following discussion, the club decided to cancel the January and February meetings.

Masks were worn, and social distancing was observed.

A candlelight closing ceremony was held to end the meeting.
