Stephen Glykas of Weirton, a longtime member of the Steubenville Art Association, poses next to his photographic hand-colored piece of Weirton Steel, lower right, at the May 13 opening of Oglebay Institute Stifel Fine Arts Center's annual regional juried exhibition Crosscurrents, which drew a record crowd of local artists and art lovers. The 109-piece exhibition which runs through July 3, is at 1330 National Road, Wheeling, and attracted 27 new artist applicants, commented Rick Morgan, director of the Stifel Fine Arts Center, during opening remarks. In addition to Glykas, other SAA members exhibiting are Gina Judy, Mary "Sis" Keenan, Paula Siebieda and Gerald Van Scyoc. Crosscurrents is a juried multi-media exhibition featuring top regional artists.
