Cadiz Women's Golf League
Hostesses for the Aug. 23 Cadiz Women's Golf League were Brenda Hartley and Donna Griffin. Play of the Day was a "Shamble."
The first-place team consisted of Paula Hope, Jan Schultz and Carole Patton. The second-place team members included Janis Cook, Denise Augustine and Glenda Sensel.
Putt winners were Janet Lallathin and Kathy Newburn. Brenda Hartley, Rose Ravenaux, Judy Crawshaw, Glenda Sensel, Sandy Terek and Donita Rush all had chip-ins.
Next week's hostesses will be Janis Cook and Roberta Cireddu. The play of the day will be "N.O.S.E."
The August 50/50 drawing will be held next week.
Red Oaks Ladies League
The women of the Red Oaks Ladies League played the back nine at Highland Springs in Wellsburg on Aug. 30.
The play of the day was a three-person scramble. The winning team was Yuko Atwell, Ruth Lamantia and Tammy Cox.
The skill prize winners were: Yuko Atwell for longest putt on the 18th hole, Tammy Koutsky for longest drive on the 13th hole, and Ruth Lamantia for closest to the pin on second shot on the 14th hole.
The league will be off Monday because of the Labor Day holiday.
Town and Country Golf League
Town and Country Golf League members played their monthly scramble on Aug. 26.
The first-place team consisted of Veronica Foldi, Vicki Brozka and Sondra Hyde; Second place was Signa Findlay, Norma Henson, Shirley Guida and Liz Prasad, and third place was Kathy Antinone, Patty Saccoccia, Toni Jean Dondzila and Margie Serafini.
Other winers were:
Long drive hole No. 3: A flight, Foldi; B flight, Brozka; and C flight, Prasad.
Long drive hole No. 7: A flight, Findlay; B flight, Lattee Chinakarn; and C flight, Dondzila.
