Author talk, Ron Retzer Trio concert among church events

BURGETTSTOWN — Paris Presbyterian Church, located at 127 Steubenville Pike, Burgettstown, welcomes anyone to stop by the Gathering Place for coffee and conversation Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“We also continue to offer free soup for dine-in or take-out on Wednesdays at noon,” explained Joel Peterson, the church’s director of outreach.

Several events on the December calendar include author Annette Dashofy speaking about her writing process and the latest books in her Zoe Chambers series of mysteries. That will be held at noon on Wednesday.

The Ron Retzer Trio will be performing a Christmas concert on Dec. 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary. A dinner — salad, chicken, sides and dessert — will precede the concert at 5:30 p.m. RSVPs for the meal are required by Wednesday by contacting Judy in the church office at (724) 729-3450. Any donations will support future concerts at Paris Presbyterian.

An informal coffee house worship service will be held in the Gathering Place on Dec. 15th at 6:30 p.m. with a light meal preceding at 6 p.m. The Rev. Tina Hosler will lead a guided meditation on the Christmas season, and the praise team will lead in acoustic worship favorites.

All events are free and open to the public.
