Bluffton University

BLUFFTON, Ohio -- Bluffton University has announced the dean's list for undergraduate students for the fall 2021 term.

Russell Lough III of Wintersville was among students with a GPA of 3.6 or higher who were eligible for the dean's list.

Columbus State Community College

COLUMBUS -- Teresia Allen and Dominique Tedrow, both of Steubenville, are among students who have been named to the autumn semester dean's list at Columbus State Community College.

To be named to the dean's list, a student must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher and be enrolled for six or more credit hours.

Kent State University

KENT, Ohio -- Kent State University recently conferred degrees to fall graduates during commencement exercises on Dec. 18 at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center. The university awarded 573 associate degrees, 1,497 bachelor's degrees and 360 graduate degrees to students.

Of the 1028 bachelor's degree students graduating with academic honors, 134 earned summa cum laude distinction with a 3.9 to 4.0 grade-point average, while 166 were magna cum laude (3.70 to 3.89), and 177 were cum laude (3.5 to 3.69).

A total of 230 associate degree students graduated with distinction. The "with Distinction" honor is awarded when associate degree students achieve a GPA of 3.5 or better for all undergraduate coursework and have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours at Kent State University.

Hill, Hopedale; Tara F. Pedigo, with distinction, of Jewett; Jessica Daugherty, with distinction, of Scio; Audrianna F. Whiteman of Scio; Gabrielle Lulla, Shayna Mirabella, Michael M. Pierro and Julianne Runco, all of Steubenville; Justin M. Hartzell, with distinction, of Steubenville; Janet F. Johnson and Francheska F. Marino, both of Toronto; Trevor M. Martin of Wintersville; Alec M. Tegano, with distinction, of Wintersvill; and Madelyne F. Gill of Yorkville.

Youngstown State University

YOUNGSTOWN -- Jarred Roberts of Mingo Junction has been named to the president's list at Youngstown State University for achieving a perfect 4.0 grade point average in the fall semester 2021.

To be eligible for the president's list, honorees must be full-time undergraduate students with a 4.0 GPA for least 12 semester hours of classes.

The following local Youngstown State University students have been named to the dean's list for fall semester 2021:

Jarred Roberts of Mingo Junction and Nathan Cosgrove of Mingo Junction.

Dean's list recognition is awarded to full-time undergraduate students who have earned at least a 3.4 grade point average for not less than 12 semester hours of credit in the fall semester.
