Wayne Township Center
hosting Saturday breakfast
UNIONPORT -- The Wayne Township Community Center in Unionport will be the site of a fundraiser breakfast on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The meal includes pancakes and sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, sausage gravy and biscuits and drinks.
Cost is by donation only, and proceeds benefit the center's upkeep.
Quarter auction Sunday at
Mingo Knights of Columbus
MINGO JUNCTION -- A quarter auction to benefit the Mingo Knights of Columbus Hall roof fund will be held Sunday at the Knights hall, located at 117 Legion Drive, Mingo Junction.
The date was incorrect on Wednesday's community page.
Doors open at noon, and the auction begins at 1 p.m. A donation of $5 includes one paddle with extra paddles available for $2 each.
There will be various vendors on hand. The fundraiser will include a 50-50 drawing, a Chinese auction and concessions.

Business and Professional Women to meet Tuesday
STEUBENVILLE -- The Ohio Valley Business and Professional Women will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Leonardo's Coffeehouse, located at 159 N. Fourth St., Steubenville.
Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP to President Phyllis Riccadonna at at phyllis66@aol.com. Cost of the meal is $20.
The meeting will include nominations for new officers for next year and continued planning for the organization's annual fundraiser, the Wine and Shoe Extravaganza.
The date for that has been changed to April 28 at the St. Francis Centre in Follansbee. Nominees to be honored are Kelly Sarlo, Mary Lou Jones, Kathy Santoro, Jeannine Sawon, Maureen Taggart and Nancy Walker.
The fundraiser constitutes the group's April meeting. The May meeting, the final one of the current club year, will involve the presentation of scholarships.
Brooke library to screen
'King Richard' on March 18
WELLSBURG -- The Brooke County Public Library will show the PG-13 rated drama, "King Richard," at noon March 18.
The film is about tennis superstars Venus and Serena Williams and their father's guidance.

SHS Class of 1959 schedules luncheon meeting March 16
STEUBENVILLE -- The Steubeville High School Class of 1959 celebrated Heart Month with a luncheon at Froehlich's Classic Corner in Steubenville.
Norina Eroshevich led group in thankful prayer for all present and for those unable to attend. Following lunch, Ginger Roach was surprised with a birthday cake and well wishes.
Pete Barren provided a final update on efforts to collect donations for a paver to the new SHS athletic field on behalf of the class. Appreciation was expressed to all for their support.
The next luncheon will be held March 16 at 12:30 p.m. at Froehlich's Classic Corner. Those planning to attend should call Norina at (740) 219-2234 for reservations by Monday. All are welcome to attend.
Weirton Legion post to hold flea market on Saturday
WEIRTON -- The Weirton American Legion Post 10, located at 3140 Pennsylvania Ave., will host a flea market on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There will be 20 vendors participating and featuring a variety of items, including baked goods.
