Fundraiser spaghetti dinner

Saturday at Shiloh Apostolic

WEIRTON -- Shiloh Apostolic Faith Assembly members Marla Stoutamire and Karen Harris will sponsor a spaghetti dinner fundraiser Saturday at the church, located at 3000 Weir Ave., Weirton.

It will be held from 11 a.m. until sold out.

The cost for a meal is $12 and includes spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, dessert and drink. Patrons may call in on the day of event at (304) 797-7848 or walk in.

Brooke Library to hold evening story hour on April 13

WELLSBURG -- The Brooke County Public Library will hold an evening story hour based on the story, "We're Going on an Egg Hunt," at 5 p.m. April 13. There will be a craft and snacks.

Brown's Island book co-author

to have signing, talk Saturday

WEIRTON -- Mary Zwierzchowski, co-author of the newly released "Secrets in the Mist: The History of Brown's Island," will hold an informal talk and book signing Saturday from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Weirton Book Co., located at 2200 Pennsylvania Ave., Weirton.

Zwierzchowski co-authored the book along with Jane Kraina.

Easter egg hunt on Saturday

at Crossroads Ministry Center

WINTERSVILLE -- Crossroads Christian Church in Wintersville be hosting an Easter egg hunt Saturday at the Crossroads Ministry Center, located a t200 Kragel Road, Richmond.

The beginning times are: 11 a.m. for 10- and 11-year-olds; 11:15 a.m. for ages 7 to 9; 11:30 a.m. for ages 4 to 6; and 11:45 a.m. for ages 3 and younger.

There will be 10,000 eggs along with crafts and the presence of a food truck.

Brooke Senior Center offers

hosts bingo, offers lunches

FOLLANSBEE -- The Brooke County Senior Center, at 948 Main St., hosts bingo from noon to 3 p.m. each Wednesday and Friday.

Seniors participating in the games also may partake of lunch, which is served there at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with lunches available for take out from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

National Day of Prayer service set for May 5 in Wellsburg

WELLSBURG -- The Wellsburg Kiwanis Club and mayor's office will present a service at noon May 5 at the Wellsburg Towns Square in observation of National Day of Prayer.

The guest speaker will be the Rev. Sharon Watkins, minister at Bethany Memorial Church and former general minister and president of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) as well as author of "Whole: A Call to Unity in Our Fragmented World."

The Kiwanis Club will provide a free lunch.

'The Ocean at the End of the Lane' to be book club topic

WELLSBURG -- The Brooke County Public Library Book Club will meet at 5 p.m. April 28 to discuss Neil Gaiman's "The Ocean at the End of the Lane."
