having Sunday fundraiser

EAST SPRINGFIELD — The East Springfield Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will be holding a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday at the East Springfield Volunteer Fire Department, located at 9845 county Highway 39, Bloomingdale.

The dinner includes spaghetti, salad, roll, dessert and drink. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under age 6. Patrons can dine in or get takeout. Delivery will be available. To place an order for delivery or takeout, call (740) 543-3563.

Sugar Grove UMC fundraiser

includes rummage sale, food

TORONTO — Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, located at 159 county Road 68, Toronto, will hold a rummage sale in the basement on May 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Meals will be available for purchase as well with breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon and lunch from noon to 3 p.m. There also will be a bake sale.

Proceeds will benefit the Knotty Bunch quilting organization.

Reservations due Friday for retired teachers meeting

STEUBENVILLE — The Jefferson County Retired Teachers Association will meet on May 10 at Richmond United Methodist Church, located at 112 S. Sugar St., Richmond.

The business meeting begins at 10:30 a.m. Guest speakers will be Bea Lehner and Rhonda L. Leisten-Stubbs.

Reservations are due to Ann Wiley by Friday.

Still time for June 11 health fair vendors to sign up

WEIRTON — The deadline for vendors to participate in the Health Fair for the Upper Ohio Valley to be held June 11 has been extended to May 15.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Weirton Millsop Community Center and is sponsored by Highmark West Virginia, Weirton Medical Center, Morning Baptist Church, the City of Weirton and Mercy Acts International.

It will include free health screenings and information for people of all ages. For information, call (304) 748-2320.
