New Air Force recruiter in Wheeling

WHEELING — Senior Airman JayCameron Blach has been assigned to the Air Force recruitging office at 53 14th St., Wheeling.
As an Air Force recruiter, Blach is responsible for inspiring, engaging and recruiting future Airmen to deliver airpower for America from the Wheeling/Ohio Valley area.
Prior to his assignment in Wheeling, Blach was assigned to Holloman Air Force Base as maintenance management production.
He has been in the Air Force for two years and said he is eager to share his experiences with area resident.

A native of Cleveland, Tenn., Blach explained that before he joined the Air Force, he was attempting to go to school at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
“I soon realized that college is very expensive, and it goes far beyond simply paying for tuition. I was realizing that you have to accommodate for food, a place to live, insurance, etc. This was the breaking point for me to join the Air Force,” he noted.
In his role as a recruiter, Blach said he wants to inspire people to make a change to their lives that will benefit them forever.
“All males and females who are between the ages of 17 and 39 can enlist in the Air Force,” he explained. “My personal goals of being in this role are to better myself by mentoring others, accomplishing my bachelor’s degree in forensic psychology and to strive for success in everything I do,” Blach commented.
“The Air Force offers someone young (like myself when I joined at 19 years old) an opportunity to travel the world, accomplish their degree, get professional work experience and chase their dreams all while having the rewarding career the Air Force provides,” he added.
