RICHMOND -- Festival in the Woods, a nonprofit organization whose members say they are dedicated to improving their Richmond community for the present and future, will be holding the third-annual Brew and Food Truck Festival on Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. at Richmond Park, located at 210 S. Park St., Richmond.
The event will host eight food trucks -- Babcia's Lunchbox, Hokulia Shave Ice, Ohio Valley Pizza Co., the All American Burger Co. LLC, Truckin' Triangles, Kathy's Little Kitchen, 740 BBQ and Desperado Dogs.
There will be raspberry peach sangria slushies from Ohio Valley Winery, spiked lemonade, a wide selection of craft beers and many nonalcoholic beverage choices.
Live entertainment will be provided by Chelsea Matta, Dustin Kildow and Adam Kiaski.
"This is a family-friendly event that is free to attend," a Festival in the Woods committee spokesperson explained. "Kids are encouraged to attend and enjoy the playground and bounce houses provided by the village or Richmond."
The community also is invited to join Festival in the Woods on Friday at dusk for Movies in the Park.
"At dusk we will be featuring the movie 'Encanto,'" the spokesperson added. This event is free to attend. Attendees are encouraged "to bring chairs, blankets, snacks, drinks or anything else that will help the family enjoy the show."
"Encanto" is rated PG. According to the Disney website, "Walt Disney Animation Studios' 'Encanto" tells the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift from super strength to the power to heal -- every child except one, Mirabel (voice of Stephanie Beatriz). But when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the only ordinary Madrigal, might just be her exceptional family's last hope."
